| Animals roam free beside the roads. Drivers are surprisingly considerate and they don't often get run over. |

| Friendly, fluffy donkeys. |

| The hills in this part of the world are tough going but the views are spectacular. |

| We stopped at a National Park to see these amazing migratory Monarch butterflies. Each year they make a staggering 2,500 mile journey from Canada and Northern USA to the highlands of Mexico to hibernate and then breed. What is even more astonishing is that, since each butterfly lives only for a few months, it is their offspring who complete the journey cycle, returning to exactly the same place each year. |

| The reason that this tree looks fluffy is that it is carpeted with millions of hibernating butterflies. |

| Hummingbirds are also common around here. We were lucky to get this photo - they move faster than you can follow. |
