| Teotihuacan is an ancient city north of Mexico City which flourished between 100 BC and 600 AD. Its inhabitants commanded an empire which stretched as far a present day Guatemala. |

| Wooden temples would have sat on top of these pyramids where ceremonies were performed and sacrifices made to the gods. |

| Taxco is an old silver mining town, now a World Heritage Site. The town is built on a steep mountainside with narrow, windy streets and white painted buildings. The silver mines are now closed but silvercraft workshops remain and goods are exported from here around the world. |
