| Close to the end of the Stewart–Cassiar Highway is Meziadin Junction. We camped beside a lake where we met a very welcoming campsite warden - John. |

| We had a day off to clean and dry our clothes and bags. Jeremy dried the shoes over a fire. |

| There was a family of black bears frequenting the upper part of the campsite. John showed us his bear trap that he would use if they became troublesome. |

| He took us to Stewart for the day to see the beautiful salmon and bear glaciers. Bear glacier calves icebergs into the lake below. |
